Abstract

SUMMARYThis study presents the results of fire resistance tests on walls made of soil‐cement and Kraftterra compressed earth blocks (CEBs). The purpose of this work was to evaluate and compare the fire resistance of CEB walls with and without cellulose pulp derived from the recycling of cement sacks. This article describes the Kraftterra mixture and its production processes as well as the fire resistance test campaign. The fire resistance performance of CEB walls produced with Kraftterra and soil‐cement blocks is analysed. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
