Abstract
At Rio Grande do Sul State (RS), located in southern Brazil, each owner or responsible for commercial, industrial, entertainment and public residential buildings-with more than one economy and more than one deck-must have a Fire Prevention and Protection Plan (FPPP). The RS Fire Brigade Law No. 064/EMBM/99 defines FPPP as “A set of documents integrating the Fire Prevention and Protection process” (CGBM, 1999).
