Abstract

The stabilization of a class of nonlinear systems within a finite time is investigated in this paper. Based on the finite time stability theory and control Lyapunov functions, a sufficient condition is given for finite time stabilization, and a continuous control law is designed such that the closed-loop system is finite time stable. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed design technique is illustrated by three hyperchaotic systems.
