Abstract
Exact expressions for the attenuation factors in the P 2 and P 4 terms of the angular correlation function are deduced and presented as functions of τx and the semivertical angle γ only. These are also given in the limit of low energies for which τx > 15. These expressions are useful for any radiation energy, detector and source-detector geometry.
