Abstract
The simulation of dynamical behavior of a speed-increase gearbox was carried out using a finite element method. The profile error curves were determined by the gear precision and the time-variable stiffness curves of the meshing gears were acquired using a 3D contact finite element method. After the stiffness excitation and error excitation were determined and the dynamic model of the speed-increase gearbox was established, the normal frequencies of the whole gearbox and the vibration responses of the gearbox and transmission shafts were analysed.
