Abstract

In this work, finite element micromagnetic simulations were performed in order to study the magnetization reversal mechanisms in thin films with perpendicular magnetocrystalline anisotropy. Magnetization loops are taken both for perpendicular and planar external magnetic fields, at different anisotropy constants and film sizes. Magnetization vortices, stripe domains and magnetic bubbles are ab initio simulated and they are investigated on the basis of the film characteristics.
