Abstract

According to the structure of the original 1700DWT barge and the requirements of “Code for Construction of Steel Inland Ships (2012)”, the dimensions of each component will be redesigned. Then use MSC.Patran to establish the whole ship finite element model, assign element properties according to the newly designed dimensions, and apply the load according to the principle of unfavorable load combination under different working conditions. Use MSC. Nastran to perform yield strength analysis. The calculations were carried out to carry out load analysis and calculation under typical working conditions to obtain the detailed stress distribution and deformation of the whole ship. The results show that it is feasible and reliable to use the method of direct calculation of the structural strength of the whole ship.
