Abstract
A new algorithm for the calculation of weight functions is proposed. The algorithm is based on the equivalent domain integral (EDI) method and can be used for arbitrary three-dimensional mixed mode cracks. The stress intensity factors for the semi-elliptical crack obtained by integration of calculated weight functions are in agreement with the existing numerical solutions.
