Abstract

The magnetization curve of ferromagnetic materials is the basis of electromagnetic equipment modeling and theoretical analysis. It is of great significance to analyze the influence of different magnetization curve models on simulation. Iron core with magnetic valve is the basic structure of magnetic-valve controllable reactor (MCR). The iron core models based on mean magnetization curve and hysteresis loop are established with finite element method (FEM). The results of electromagnetic simulation based on different models are compared with experiment results. The results show that the magnetization description of the saturated iron core with magnetic valve by the hysteresis loop model consists with the experimental results. It provides guidance for the construction of simulation model in the actual engineering.
