Abstract

The prestressed-dispersed anchor cantilever retaining wall is a novel combined retaining structure. In this paper, the earth pressure distribution, the displacement of retaining wall, force of anchor cable, and the stress of anchor plates were analyzed with finite element method. The analysis results show that the earth pressure increases linearly along the wall height from top to bottom, approximately. The total earth pressure value is between the values of active earth pressure and at-rest earth pressure. The wall displacement of the wall can be reduced effectively with prestressed anchor cable and plate. The structural stability of the retaining wall is also improved. The conclusions in this paper can provide a base for the design and calculation of this kind of retaining wall.
