Abstract
Thin metal sheets are increasingly used for different purposes in automotive and aerospace industry. These sheets are prone to wrinkling during forming which is a major defect. Wrinkles are formed due to non uniform compressive stresses resulting from multi axial stretching of materials. Its initiation may be due to material properties, geometric constraints and stress applied. This research is focused on FEA of steel ASTM A36 sheets to predict their wrinkling initiation and growth.
