Abstract

A finite basis set formed from B-splines is constructed in momentum space for the Schrödinger-Coulomb problem. The pseudospectrum of the basis set is generated and used to evaluate the Bethe logarithm for ground-state hydrogen. The method is also used to solve a relativistic version of the Schrödinger equation that cannot be treated in coordinate space.
