Abstract
Wave propagation resulting from a suddenly punched circular hole in a thin hyperelastic sheet, subjected to finite deformation equibiaxial tension, is considered. It is assumed that longitudinal wave propagation takes place in an annular region and reflections from the outer fixed boundary and the edge of the hole are considered. A numerical scheme described in a previous paper is used to obtain results for sheets whose strain energy function is a particular case of the Mooney-Rivlin.
