Abstract

We show that Lee-Wick model for nuclear matter is compatible with the experimental knowledge on normal nuclei and thermodynamically consistent. We solve the problem for both the normal and abnormal finite nuclei from this model and have found critical mass numbersA1=85 andA2=l65. Only nuclei with mass numbersA≥A1 may have bound abnormal states, and only abnormal nuclei with mass numbersA≥A2 have binding energies larger than those of corresponding normal nuclei.
