Abstract

Background: Recently, one of the hottest topics is the prion-like hypothesis of alpha-synuclein (αSyn). It has been proved that αSyn fibrils, which are made in vitro and have cross-β structure, propagate in the brain. However, it is unknown whether the Lewy body (LB) and glial cytoplasmic inclusion (GCI) in the patient's brain have cross-β structure.
