Abstract

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the development of fine arts in a multiethnic community. The problem of realization and preservation of the ethnic element in painting and sculpture in the conditions of close contact of different ethno-cultures in order to preserve and develop the peculiarities of ethno-artistic natural thinking is touched upon; the ethnic function of art is highlighted on the material of artistic culture. The artistic-figurative system of the national fine arts is an actual source of ethno-artistic information. Its originality is determined by the historical conditions of the formation of ethnic mentality, by the complex interweaving of the ideological foundations of traditions, which are combined in the formal, meaningful and figurative structure of works of art.
