Abstract

At the Australian Archaeological Association conference held at Valla in 1980, one of the authors (JD) presented an audio-visual comment on Aboriginal involvement in anthropological/archaeological research. It was in the form of a scripted slide sequence entitled 'Finding a way: an Aboriginal research project'. This paper gives the background to the production of the audio-visual presentation and briefly explains the aims of the project which produced it. It also outlines the relevance this material has for archaeologists and anthropologists. For those who may have missed the original presentation, we include the script of that sequence.
