Abstract

Organizers of a start-up business must be concerned about financing from day one. Not only will there be immediate needs for operating capital, but the business plan must include a plan for obtaining the financing necessary to support growth. The typical new venture begins with a good idea and its founders' money. Moving beyond this stage also takes careful attention to business planning and structure, legal and accounting advice and salesmanship.
