The development and structural optimization of the marine industry requires a large amount of financial support. Good financial support has become increasingly prominent in the development of the marine industry and economy. Based on the financial support theory, this paper attempts to explore the financial support for China's marine economic development and industrial structure optimization. Besides, it proposes related measures of financial support to promote the development of marine economy and optimization of industrial structure by combing with the current development of marine economy. The research results show that the financial support plays an important role in the optimization, innovation and agglomeration of marine industry and the financial support for the marine economy is multi-faceted, multi-layered, and fully covered; to improve the competitiveness of the marine industry, it requires financial support for the development of emerging industries; the proportion of financial support in coastal areas in the country has declined, while the marine secondary and tertiary industries have shown a growth momentum, but there still exists the problem of irrationality in the industrial structures. The research findings provide a theoretical basis for the efficient and sustainable development of the marine economy.
