Financial Stability Board (FSB), Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and Financial Market Regulation Bodies

Abstract

This chapter examines the participation of the EU and its Member States in the Financial Stability Board (FSB), the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and selected financial market regulation bodies at the core of the global financial stability architecture: the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS), the International Organisation of Securities Exchange Commissions (IOSCO), the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) and the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), together with its parent association the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation (IFRSF).
