Abstract
This paper presents overview of final year engineering project courses in Australia and Malaysia. The paper presents structure, pedagogy and experience of coordinating final year project of final year project courses at one Australian and one Malaysian university. Nature of the assessment tasks is discussed and how it links to the course learning outcomes. Integration and delivery of research methods into final year project is also discussed. Finally, the problems encountered in the running a final year project course are discussed along with solutions that were implemented.
