Abstract

This paper presents a new fin-line structure whose characteristics can be varied by placement of an additional dielectric substrate adjacent to the fin structure. A rigorous analysis is given from which the dispersion and characteristic impedance are computed. This structure should find extensive application in the design of fin-line phase-shifters and filters at millimeter-wave frequencies.
