Abstract

This article introduces the relation between wisdom and the image of women in of C.S. Lewis investigations of English literature. Ater a short review of the relation between Lewis and women in real life and his rescue of the ancient and medieval sense of being a woman in its relation to wisdom, the text analyzes the women that appear in The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe, and rescues their significance as inspitational not only for poets, but also for the philosophical reflection.
