Abstract
The medium of film is one of artistic expression and visual and aural communication. Although it is but a series of still pictures and a soundtrack imprinted on celluloid that is projected on a screen, it has the power to have great influence on its viewers. Film can present the world of fantasy as it does in its popular feature length theatrical release form, or it can be a study in reality in its documentary and instructional form. Whatever its power and purpose, the researcher is provided with a wealth of information.
