Abstract
Even though most of us were not even born when the Star Trek original TV series run, during the late 1970s, but I’m sure most college students must be familiar with Star Trek reruns and the Star Trek movie trilogy. In my initial formative years, I have been a Star Trek fan, calling myself a Trekkie and showcasing my knowledge about Star Trek movies at every social gathering. So, when I heard that Star Trek was bound to return with director J.J. Abrams, I got really excited about it, but I was unsure if the revision of Trek would resemble the original series. Finally, Star Trek (Paramount Pictures) retuned in 2009 with a prequel – The Early Years, that wasn’t destined to match the heights of its original franchise but nevertheless the young actors in the movie have managed to put up a brave show.
