Abstract

A recent paper generalized similarity transformation film boiling about two-dimensional and axisymmetric isothermal bodies of arbitrary shape with solid wall in a porous medium. Under this transformation the resulting equations of motion and the boundary conditions reduce to the forms which are independent to the form of the body. More recently, another study presented a similarity solution of film condensation in porous medium with non-zero lateral mass flux at the boundary under an appropriate distribution. This paper presents a special case where the wall temperatures vary with distance along the body as x{sup {lambda}}.
