Abstract

Key Points OCT derived coronary artery calcification assessment on requiring more aggressive lesion preparation is warranted. The predictive ability of calcium angle, thickness, and presence of calcified nodule for absolute and relative stent expansion was limited, but only total calcium length remained a predictor. Aggressive lesion preparation and the selection of appropriate balloon size for postdilatation under imaging guidance are necessary for fighting and overcoming calcified lesions.
