On Sunday, Nov. 27, the registration desk will be open at 9:00 A.M., and Monday through Friday at 8: 00 A.M. Please register early. The courses will start at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, with A Report from the American College of Radiology, a panel discussion. This will be followed by a panel discussion on The Treatment of Children with Tumors at 3:00 P.M. Then at 8:00 P.M. a Film Interpretation Session will commence. These courses are “open” and require no ticket.On Monday, Nov. 28, there will be a series of courses beginning at 9:00 A.M. and continuing until 10:30 A.M., with a second series of courses from 10:45 A.M. to 12:15 P.M. For the remainder of the week, the Refresher Course period will be 8:30 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. No other meetings will be scheduled for these hours. Tickets are required for all courses, Monday through Friday.Three courses this year will be given in Spanish; only those who understand fluent Spanish are advised to attend. No interpreters will be available.Attendance is limited to the medical profession, including graduate students and residents in radiology, radiation physicists, radiobiologists, chemists, medical students certified by the deans of their respective medical schools, and others closely allied with the science of radiology. Residents, interns, and medical students may be limited to courses being presented in the Red Lacquer Room, the Grand Ballroom, and the State Ballroom.A registration fee of $25.00, which includes the refresher course fee, must be paid by all nonmembers of the Radiological Society of North America at the time of registration. The exceptions are guest speakers (limit: three per paper), guest instructors, scientific exhibitors (limit: three per exhibit), residents, or fellows in radiology, medical students, trainees in physics, and officers in the Armed Forces of the United States on temporary duty away from their practice. Residents, interns, graduate students and fellows in radiology must present a letter of identification from their hospital or preceptor in order to be exempt from paying the registration fee. All must register at the registration desk. Payment of the registration fee by nonmembers is not to accompany the request for tickets, but is to be paid at the time of registration. All refresher course tickets will be held at the registration desk in the Palmer House. Please call for them there. Positive identification will be required from nonmembers and guests for admission to the Refresher Courses.
