Abstract

The high frequency field expressions in the focal region of a dielectric spherical lens embedded in homogeneous chiral medium is derived using Geometric method (GO) and Maslovs method at high frequencies. The derived expressions using GO method are invalid around the focal region of the spherical lens. Therefore, the high frequency problem is mapped to hybrid domain using Maslov's method. The high-frequency field expressions derived are valid around the focal region and are plotted using MATLAB. The effect of chirality parameter β on the focal region fields of spherical dielectric lens are analyzed.
