Abstract

The magnetic-field-induced magnetic and electrical transition from antiferromagnetic nonmetal phase to paramagnetic metal phase takes place below a temperature of 270 K. Meanwhile, a large magnetoresistance ( − 1530%) in NiS was observed under a magnetic field of 4 T at a temperature of 268 K, which is due to the field-induced nonmetal-metal transition.
