Abstract
A single phase resistive type superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) was fabricated and successfully tested in the distribution network of Chongming Island, China. This paper presents the in-grid test of the 10 kV resistive type SFCL. Firstly, the specifications of this SFCL and the target grid is introduced. Then, the working performance of the SFCL is evaluated on basis of the data obtained from both rated state test and artificial fault tests. Further discussions are carried out to verify both the current limiting function and the voltage holding function of the SFCL by the numerical model built in PSCAD.
