Because of the uncertainty of ice load and ice-induced vibration, the structural characteristics may lead to many unclear risks. At present the research on the interaction between offshore wind turbine structures and sea ice is relatively scarce, and lack of measured data. In this paper, based on comprehensive field monitoring (FM) for ice zone offshore wind turbine foundations in the Northern Yellow Sea, information about the interaction between sea ice and the structures, and the structural vibration response was obtained. The results show that the ice load acts on the wind turbine foundations in the form of dynamic, and the risks of ice-induced resonance may cause an obvious dynamic magnification on the top of the wind turbine foundation. The modified ice force period model supplemented the reference for the wind turbine foundation design and operation in ice regions.
