Abstract
A mononuclear Gd(III) complex was synthesized, which shows pentagonal-bipyramidal coordination geometry. Field-induced slow magnetic relaxation was observed for both the pure sample and the 5% diluted sample. The magnetic dynamics follow the power law, as a combination of the direct process and the phonon bottleneck effect.
