Abstract

AbstractThe temperature dependence of the dielectric constant, polarization, and elastic compliance as well as the field dependence of the polarization and strain at different temperatures was measured at lead magnesium niobate single crystals for three different directions. From the results some conclusions with respect to the symmetry of the field‐induced ferroelectric phases can be drawn. Below −70°C and after complete poling, the spontaneous polarization is probably directed along [111].
