Abstract

This paper is concerned with updating the protective device settings and coordination in an existing developed large industrial oil plant. Problems of short circuit carrying capacity of the system equipment, existence of different protection systems, and outdoor dropout fuses, as well as guidelines for some protective devices, are considered. This paper gives in steps the proper procedure to deal with such problems in a developed industrial plant.
