Abstract
In the March 1980 issue of Australian Social Work Yaro Starak (“The Waves of Change: Field Education in the 80s and Beyond”) discusses important questions about the nature of, and future of, social work field education in Australia. Amongst a number of suggestions put forward by Starak is one to remove the field component from social work education.
