Abstract

Field tests were conducted to determine the effectiveness of wheat bran baits based onSteinernema feltiae compared to the pathogenBacillus thuringiensis and the organophosphorus compound hostathion againstAgrotis ipsilon infesting Okra,Hibiscus esculentis cultivations. Significant larval reduction was observed in all treated plots after application with a significant increase in the yield compared to the control plots. The yield was significantly affected by varying the number of IJS of the entomogenous nematode in the baits.
