Abstract

We have determined the irreversibility line of a CuMn0.24% spin glass from observation of the response of a zero-field-cooled sample to a step change of field. For a measuring time 30 s ⩽ t ⩽ 1200 s, no detectable time dependence is found above a line H0(T)=(2340 Oe)(1−T/3.8K)1.4±0.1. This has the same form as the expected de Almeida-Thouless line, and is only a factor four smaller.
