Abstract

We report a case of fibrous hamartoma of infancy (FHI) presenting as soft tissue swelling causing a diagnostic challenge among clinicians and pathologists. A six-month-old male child presented with solitary swelling in the left axilla noted in the previous two months. Radiological imaging was inconclusive. The pathological findings were consistent with FHI. The patient underwent a complete excision biopsy. Follow-up over four years showed no recurrence. It is important for clinicians to recognize FHI to avoid utilizing an aggressive approach.
