Abstract

(J Clin Anesth. 2022;81:110874) Severe postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is a leading cause of maternal mortality globally. While fibrinogen concentrate (FC) has been shown to mitigate blood loss in parturients, there is limited evidence on fibrinogen concentrate’s impact on maternal outcomes in the setting of severe PPH. This study aimed to identify the association between FC administration and maternal outcomes in patients with severe PPH requiring red blood cell (RBC) transfusion.
