Abstract

The paper presents new results connected with the fibre-optic Sagnac interferometer (FORS-II) application for seismic rotation waves (SRW) investigation. Generally it is a fibre-optic rotational seismometer based on its resolution in the range of 4.27x10 -8 rad/s which can detect the SRW in the direct way. The paper presents the analyses of the experimental results obtained in Ojcow standard seismic observatory. The discussion presented in the paper shows a new aspect connected with physical fundamentals of the seismic rotation waves.
