Abstract
The fibres were spun from solutions of CPVA xanthate in alkali so that the fibreforming properties of the CPVA could be investigated by the methods used in analyses of spinning regenerated cellulose fibre by the viscose process. Studies were made of the fibre cross-sections~ of the swelling of the fibre in water, of the time interval in which the fibre neutralisation point is reached in the spinning process, etc.
