Abstract

Recently, fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF-23) has been identified as a causative factor of hypophosphatemic rickets, which was previously designated "phosphatonin". The pathogenesis of X-linked hypophosphatemic rickets (XLH), autosomal dominant hypophosphatemic rickets (ADHR), and oncogenic osteomalacia (OOM) was discussed.
