Abstract
A microscopic approach based on the Feynman path integral technique is proposed for the description of the subbarrier fusion processes. Nucleus-nucleus heavy-ion collision below the Coulomb barrier are studied. The role of preequilibrium mechanisms in fusion phenomena is discussed.
