Abstract

AbstractThe association of an abnormal fetal heart rate tracing with a true knot of umbilical cord has rarely been reported. Presented is the first case report of persistent fetal supraventricular tachycardia of 230 bpm with a second degree A‐V block due to tightening of a true knot of cord. The infant was delivered successfully by emergency cesarean section without any heart decompensation. The possible pathophysiology of the monitoring findings is discussed, with a review of the literature.
