Abstract
Fetal structural abnormalities, particularly limb reduction defects, have been reported after early hypoxic injury, such as chorionic villus sampling (CVS) before 66 day's gestation. We present a case of uterine curettage in early pregnancy associated with the subsequent prenatal diagnosis of fetal oromandibular limb hypogenesis syndrome. This case is consistent with previous hypotheses concerning the role of hypoxic trauma in inducing fetal structural defects in early pregnancy.
