Abstract

(Obstet Gynecol. 2020;135:1454–1456) There are many causes of fetal bradycardia, defined as baseline fetal heart rate (FHR) of <110 bpm sustained for 10 minutes or longer. Since maternal fever and hyperthermia can cause fetal tachycardia, it may be true that hypothermia can cause fetal bradycardia. This report details 5 cases of fetal bradycardia in response to maternal hypothermia.
