Abstract
According to the International Fertilizer Industry Association (IFA), India is at second position in the consumption of fertilizer at world level after China and followed by USA. As we know India is a largely agriculture based economy. That is why India is a major importer of various fertilizers such as Nitrogen, Phosphorous, and Potassium (N, P, K). Secondary data has been used in in this study. Data from websites such as indiastat.com and also from the Ministry of Agriculture and various other sources have been used in this study. This study is any attempt to find out the pattern of fertilizer consumption in India and India's position at world level for fertilizer use for their agriculture production.
