Abstract

Small rural properties are important for Brazilian agribusiness, however, there are few suitable equipment to distribute fertilizers for this establishments. This study aims to present a new fertilizer doser for family agriculture, in which we united a helical conic thread with a conventional fertilizer doser of cylindrical section. Experimental planning was carried out by a 24 factorial design. An analysis of variance (ANOVA) was also conducted. The mechanism showed a positive result regarding the uniformity of fertilizer flow with a coefficient of variation of 3.1 to 5.8%, in longitudinal distribution with a 4% coefficient of variation, and also for different types of fertilizers, in which variations between 2.7 and 3.5% were found.
