Abstract

To provide a natural framework for presenting and extrapolating results from a series of soil fertility studies in the wet tropical coast region of Queensland, six major soil groups, and eleven major vegetation units were recognised and described. Not all vegetation associations were represented on each soil type and only 48 soil-vegetation units occurred in the region.
